The normal-condition baseline is 8.3 Wh per hole, derived from MGI's published 299 Wh / 36-hole rating. Terrain and bag load adjust energy use; those adjustment factors are provisional model coefficients rather than independently measured constants. The ±12% band represents course, turf, weather, speed, cart efficiency, battery condition, and route differences. The model does not deduct a second reserve because the calibration already reflects usable on-course capacity. Motor wattage is peak capability, not continuous battery draw.

How to use it

Start with the battery label.

If the manufacturer lists capacity in watt-hours, enter that number directly. If the label instead provides voltage and amp-hours, switch input formats and the estimator will calculate watt-hours for you.

The normal-condition baseline uses MGI's published 299 Wh / 36-hole rating, or about 8.3 Wh per hole. The estimator then adjusts that figure for terrain and bag load.

Treat the result as a planning band. Soft turf, cold weather, battery condition, speed, cart efficiency, and the route between holes can still move real-world coverage.
