Research method

Confidence should be earned in public.

Golf Unpacked helps golfers avoid hours of scattered research. We find documented experience from people who bought and used the technology, compare it with specifications and primary sources, and turn that evidence into a clear decision framework.

01

Find people who actually used it

We prioritize named owners and reviewers who show the product, explain their setup, and describe what worked, what failed, and under which conditions.

02

Cross-check before summarizing

A single review is a source, not a conclusion. We compare independent accounts, manuals, specifications, and credible technical references—and surface meaningful disagreement.

03

Separate evidence from judgment

Articles distinguish reported observations, verified facts, and Golf Unpacked’s analysis. Changing facts and source checks are time-stamped.

Evidence system

Five labels, applied page by page.

User Experience Sources

Named owners, reviewers, specialists, or publications bought or used the product and documented what happened.

We link the exact video or article, identify who used the product, capture the setup, duration, conditions, and limitations when available, and distinguish their observations from our analysis. We prefer multiple independent accounts over a single verdict.

Specification Analysis

Published manuals, data sheets, dimensions, and policies are normalized and compared.

No use claim. Conflicts, missing values, unit conversions, and manufacturer assumptions are called out.

Research Synthesis

Multiple credible sources are reconciled into a practical explanation or decision framework.

Primary sources lead where possible. Conclusions distinguish known facts from editorial inference.

Rules Explanation

A primary governing authority is interpreted in plain language for a defined scenario.

The authority, rule or appendix, jurisdiction, and checked date are visible. Committees remain responsible for event terms.

Model / Estimate

Inputs and stated assumptions produce a planning range, score, or recommendation category.

The model exposes its major assumptions, avoids false precision, and identifies variables it cannot observe.

Commercial disclosure

Golf Unpacked may use affiliate links in the future. A commission can affect revenue, never the evidence label, source selection, or conclusion. Paid placement—if ever accepted—will be labeled separately from editorial work.

Corrections

Substantive corrections should identify what changed and when. Silent edits are reserved for spelling, formatting, or broken links that do not alter meaning.
